YMCA of the Bighorns Camp Roberts is nestled along the base of the beautiful Bighorn Mountains. It is approximately 45 minutes from the front door of the Sheridan County YMCA. Lakes, streams, forest, beautiful mountain peaks, scenery, and abundant wildlife provide an incredible playground for our campers.Overview of Camp

A summer at YMCA of the Bighorns Camp Roberts is a life-shaping experience that encourages a spirit of exploration and adventure. Our staff strive to create a safe environment while each part of camp life is designed to promote the YMCA core values of caring, honesty, respect and responsibility. While providing several traditional activities such as canoeing, hiking, and fishing, we also provide a balance of outdoor education, fun, challenge, responsibility, and adventure that define campers’ lives.

We encourage you to take a minute and see the great additions to our camp programs that YMCA of the Bighorns will provide. We think you’ll find a little something for everyone. Consider using YMCA of the Bighorns in planning for your upcoming family events, retreats, weddings and get-togethers.

Legacy of Ermal M. and Don H. Roberts

In honor and recognition of Ermal M. and Donald H. Roberts, we are pleased to dedicate YMCA of the Bighorns Camp Roberts. A tradition of the Sheridan County YMCA has been shown in the hearts of the Roberts family. They displayed a strong commitment to provide a safe place for kids where they could participate in social, recreational, and educational activities that promoted self-esteem and values. Ermal and Don would be pleased to know that for many years to come youth and families will find joy and friendship at YMCA of the Bighorns Camp Roberts.

What’s New at Camp?

In Fall 2020, the “Wahoo Bridge” was set in place spanning Clear Creek and connecting the main lodge to the camp pond. Campers and counselors alike will share in the new tradition of yelling “Wahoo!” while crossing this bridge. We are grateful to Fletcher Construction for a job well done.

The new Wahoo Bridge was installed in 2020
